Arshdeep Singh endorses viral dialogue: The Indian fast bowler was heard speaking a viral dialogue from an upcoming movie.
Forthcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Chobbar' has received a shot in the arm with India fast bowler Arshdeep Singh using an already viral dialogue from the movie in one of his recent interviews.
Singh, currently in Australia for ICC T20 World Cup 2022, was speaking to former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan in a conversation for Star Sports when he uttered a dialogue from Chobbar.
"Bhaji, Punjab se hain toh jigra naturally thoda bada ho jaata hai," Singh replies to Pathan's last question around his audacious and valorous nature.
"Darling, jigra kiton le ke nahin aayi da. Ohde layi Punjab ch jammna painda hai," actor Jayy Randhawa, playing in and as Chobbar, says in a crucial dialogue in the trailer of the movie. The fact that Singh has recited the dialogue after the release of the trailer further validates the ballyhoo around the movie.
Highest wicket-taker for India in this World Cup thus far, Singh credited learning a lot from watching YouTube videos of Pathan and also acknowledged aid by current India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey.
Keen to play dual roles with the new and old ball, Singh revealed that the whole team has benefited from a training camp in Perth before the start of the world event.
