Marvel Studios has dropped the first glimpse of its next blockbuster, Avengers: Doomsday, confirming the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. The newly released teaser shows Rogers living a more peaceful life, including a brief but striking scene where he cradles a baby, before the screen flashes the message that he will return in the upcoming film.
Set to premiere in theaters on December 18, 2026, this marks the first confirmed on-screen appearance of Evans’ Captain America since Avengers: Endgame in 2019. Marvel has not revealed whether the Rogers featured in the teaser is the same Steve Rogers from the main Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline or an alternate version, leaving fans speculating about the storyline.
The teaser’s brief runtime only adds to the excitement, teasing Rogers’ return while keeping key details under wraps. As anticipation grows, fans are eagerly analyzing every frame for hints about how the iconic hero will fit into the next major MCU crossover event.
