Cinemas and Multiplexes to reopen from October 15

Due to the Covid-19 situtaion, many industries got affected in the country. Amongst these industries, the entertainment industry was also seriously affected, as all film and television shootings had to be suspended and cinemas were shut down. The cinema artists as well the audience of the country have been eagerly looking forward to the normalization of the situation and the reopening of the cinemas.

After more than six months of complete shut down, the entertainment industry has seen a ray of hope as according to the new guidelines, theatres and cinemas halls will soon be open for operation. The Ministry Of Home Affairs recently issued the the guidelines for Unlock 5, and allowed cinema halls and multiplexes to reopen with 50% seating from 15 October 2020.

This news elated the film lovers and all the cinema artists of the country. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday, September 30. According to the guidelines, the rule of 50% occupancy has to followed in a strict manner along with other safety and precautionary measures.

The Punjabi industry is extremely excited about the reopening of the cinemas and is looking forward to the release of many films which had to be delayed due to the pandemic.
