Dheeraj Kumar and Ajay Sarkaria begin shooting for 'Rabb Di Mehhar'

Dheeraj Kumar and Ajay Sarkaria: The two actors will be working together for the first time in 'Rabb Di Mehhar'.

Actors Dheeraj Kumar and Ajay Sarkaria kick-started the shooting for their upcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Rabb Di Mehhar' on the day before yesterday. Set to share screen space for the first time, it will be a rare occasion of two non-singer actors playing the lead role in a Punjabi movie.

While Kumar was last seen on the silver screen in Amar Hundal's 'Warning' (2021), Sarkaria's last movie remains his acting debut in Manav Shah's 'Ardab Mutiyaran'.

Kumar has almost half-a-dozen unreleased projects under his belt, whereas Sarkaria will be once again seen opposite Sonam Bajwa in 'Jind Mahi'.

As far as Rabb Di Mehhar is concerned, it will mark the directorial comeback of Abhay Chhabra in the Punjabi film industry after eight years. For the unversed, Chhabra had made his directorial debut with the then debutant Harrdy Sandhu-starer 'Yaaran Da Ketchup'.

It is worth mentioning that a similar movie titled 'Rabb Di Mehar' had been announced with actor Harish Verma in the lead last year. A different director and a totally different cast, it remains to be seen if Rabb Di Mehhar is the same script with multiple changes or not.
