Punjabi sensation Diljit Dosanjh has completed filming for his upcoming war drama Border 2, and in true desi fashion, he marked the moment with warmth, gratitude, and laddoos. The emotional wrap-up took place on set in Punjab, where Dosanjh was seen celebrating with co-stars Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and director Anurag Singh, sharing sweets and hugs in a spirit of camaraderie.
Taking to Instagram, the singer-actor shared a behind-the-scenes video that captured the joyous moment. He wrote, "BORDER 2 Shoot Finish ???? Got to play the role of Shaheed Nirmal Jeet Singh Sekhon Ji in the movie."
In Border 2, Dosanjh steps into the role of Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, a name etched in India’s military history. The Param Vir Chakra awardee is remembered for his exceptional courage during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, when he single-handedly took on enemy aircraft while defending the Srinagar Air Base. The film pays homage to his legacy and unmatched valor.
Helmed by Kesari director Anurag Singh, Border 2 is a contemporary tribute to the legacy of the 1997 classic Border. It brings together a stellar ensemble with Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh leading the charge. The film is being jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta under the banners of T-Series and JP Films.
With a release date locked for January 23, 2026, the film is expected to be a patriotic spectacle coinciding with Republic Day weekend.
