Diljit Dosanjh Guwahati Concert: Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh paid a heartfelt tribute to former Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh during his recent concert in Guwahati. The event, which took place shortly after Dr. Singh’s passing on December 26, was dedicated to honoring the life and values of the late leader.

Before starting his performance, Diljit recited a prominent shayari by Dr. Manmohan Singh and reflected on the simplicity and dignity with which the former Prime Minister lived his life.

“Today’s concert is dedicated to the late former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh,” said Diljit. “He lived a very simple life. Even when people hurled abuses at him, he never responded in the same manner. In the field of politics, it is very difficult to refrain from such things.”

Diljit Praises Dr. Singh’s Composure and Values

Diljit went on to draw comparisons between the decorum maintained by Dr. Singh and the often chaotic atmosphere of political debates. “Have you guys seen a Lok Sabha session? Political leaders fight like kindergarten students,” he remarked, adding, “But Dr. Manmohan Singh ji never engaged in such acts. This is what we should learn from him.”

Emphasizing the importance of patience and focus, Diljit urged the youth to adopt Dr. Singh’s principles. “Even though the world may try to instigate you or hurl abuses, you must not respond in kind. Focus on your goals. Keep one thing in mind: those who hurl abuse at you are also a form of God. They are simply testing you,” he said.

A Legacy of Dignity and Simplicity

Dr. Manmohan Singh, India’s 13th Prime Minister, was known for his humility, intellect, and unshakable composure. Diljit’s tribute resonated deeply with the audience, many of whom applauded the singer for highlighting the timeless values Dr. Singh stood for.

The concert served as both an entertaining and reflective evening, as Diljit Dosanjh used his platform to celebrate the life of a leader who left an indelible mark on India’s political and moral landscape.
