Popular singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has once again won hearts — not just with his music, but with a heartfelt gesture. Appearing recently on the special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), the beloved Punjabi star revealed that his prize money would go toward helping flood-affected families in Punjab.
When host Amitabh Bachchan asked him how it felt to be part of the iconic quiz show, Diljit’s response was both simple and powerful: "It’s for ????? Flood ????????."
The 2025 monsoon season saw several regions of Punjab battling unprecedented flooding, which displaced thousands and caused widespread damage. Relief and rehabilitation efforts are still underway, and Diljit’s contribution is expected to significantly support local NGOs and grassroots organizations working on the ground.
Social media has been buzzing with appreciation for the move, with fans and fellow celebrities praising his commitment to his roots. Known for his down-to-earth persona and strong connection to his homeland, Diljit has previously spoken out about environmental and agricultural issues affecting Punjab.
While the amount he won on Kaun Banega Crorepati hasn’t been officially disclosed, sources close to the production say it was a “significant” donation. The episode, featuring Diljit’s trademark humor and charm, is set to air later this month.
As Punjab continues to recover, acts of solidarity like these are not just financial boosts — they’re symbols of unity, hope, and resilience.
