Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh began 2025 on a high note by meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time. The versatile artist, who recently wrapped up his highly acclaimed pan-India Dil-Luminati tour, shared glimpses of the meeting on social media, describing it as a “fantastic start to 2025.”
“A fantastic start to 2025. A memorable meeting with PM @narendramodi ji. We talked about a lot of things, including music of course!” wrote Dosanjh on X (formerly Twitter). Along with the post, he shared pictures from the meeting, where he looked sharp in a black suit paired with a black turban.
Prime Minister Modi responded warmly to Dosanjh’s post, saying, “A great interaction with Diljit Dosanjh! He’s truly multifaceted, blending talent and tradition. We connected over music, culture and more…”
In a short video posted by Dosanjh, the singer is seen entering the meeting room holding a bouquet of flowers, which he graciously presents to the Prime Minister, symbolizing a cordial and respectful interaction.
This significant moment for Dosanjh highlights not just his contributions to music and cinema but also his role in bridging culture and tradition through his art.
