Actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh has shared his first public reaction after his film Satluj was taken off the streaming platform ZEE5 in India. Rather than issuing a formal statement, the actor chose to convey his emotions through a heartfelt social media post that has since gone viral.

Diljit uploaded a scene from Satluj on Instagram and accompanied it with the hashtag #IChallengeTheDarkness. In his message, he remarked that the film had faced the same fate as the man whose life inspired it—human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. The post struck a chord with fans, many of whom viewed it as a symbolic response to the film's removal.

The actor's post came shortly after ZEE5 confirmed that Satluj had been withdrawn from its Indian library until further notice. The platform acknowledged the overwhelming response the film had received following its release and thanked viewers for their support.

While announcing the temporary removal, ZEE5 reaffirmed its confidence in the film and said it remains committed to supporting meaningful stories and the artists behind them. The streaming service also stated that it is pursuing appropriate legal and procedural options in the hope of making the film available again in India.

Satluj debuted on the OTT platform on July 3 and attracted widespread attention because of its subject matter. Along with Diljit Dosanjh, the film stars Arjun Rampal, Kanwaljeet Singh, Suvinder Vicky, and several other acclaimed actors.

The film is based on the life of Jaswant Singh Khalra, a prominent human rights activist from Punjab who investigated alleged cases of illegal disappearances and unclaimed cremations during the years of militancy. His work earned international recognition and continues to be regarded as a significant chapter in India's human rights history.

Diljit's latest statement has once again brought the spotlight back on both the film and Khalra's legacy. As discussions continue online, supporters remain hopeful that Satluj will return to Indian viewers in the near future.
