Currently in New York, the singer-actor is giving fans a front-row seat to his preparations, minus the big outfit reveal. On Monday, Diljit dropped a fun Instagram video flaunting his exclusive Met Gala invite and dishing out juicy details about the event.
In his signature humorous style, Diljit teased, “No more wedding invites, guys—this Met Gala one tops them all!” Captioning the post, “MET GALA Tomorrow. Daso Fer Ki Paiye Kal Nu; Halaa Laa Laa Karauni An (Tell me what to wear tomorrow, need to dazzle everyone),” he showed off the invite’s sleek cover and shared the event’s theme, Black Dandyism.
He even spilled who he’ll be rubbing shoulders with, name-dropping NBA icon LeBron James and rapper ASAP Rocky. Oh, and Vogue’s queen, Anna Wintour, got a shoutout too!
Diljit had fans in splits when he read out the event’s strict no-photography rule, joking in Punjabi, “No reels for me!” He also pointed out the invite’s one-person-only policy, comparing it to Indian weddings with, “Per plate da hisaab hai (It’s a per-person, per-plate deal).”
