Respected poet and writer Surjit Patar, 79, passed away quietly at home in Punjab, close to Barewal Colony. Family members who sought to wake him early on Saturday morning found that he had passed away while sleeping. Patar leaves behind two boys, one of whom lives in Australia, and his wife. He also leaves behind a substantial literary legacy in Punjabi literature.
Many of Punjab's people and artists are paying tribute to this legendary personality. And one among them is Diljit Dosanjh. He already shared a picture with Padma Shri Awardee Dr Surjit Patar but today he took everyone’s heart by posting and reaveled that his previous concert is a tribute to Surjit Patar.
The fans of Dosanjhwala are already aware of his Dil-Lumanati tour. In an Oakland Arena show, he honored the late poet and writer Surjit Patar. Fans of Diljit will grow to appreciate him even more after reading this deeply touching message.
