Ludhiana: Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh has been named in a threatening email received by the Ludhiana district court, which also warned of a possible bomb explosion on the court premises and attacks targeting schools. The development has triggered a security alert, with police and investigating agencies examining the contents of the message.

According to the reported details, the email mentioned Diljit Dosanjh alongside Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and contained references to an alleged explosion at the district court at 2:11 pm. It also warned of possible incidents at schools at 1:11 pm, raising concerns about the safety of students and educational institutions.

Following the receipt of the threatening message, authorities took precautionary measures and evacuated the court building. Police teams were mobilised to assess the situation and investigate the origin of the email.

The message reportedly concluded with references to organisations named Khalistan National Army and Babbar Khalsa, along with the names of several individuals. However, the authenticity of the claims and the identity of the sender have not yet been established.

Diljit Dosanjh's mention in the email has brought an additional dimension to the incident, although there is currently no official information establishing whether the singer was directly targeted or why his name appeared in the message. The threat also comes days after Diljit Dosanjh announced a concert in Ludhiana amid the ongoing AURA tour in India.

The incident comes amid a series of threatening emails reportedly sent to government buildings and schools across Punjab. The repeated warnings have prompted security agencies to closely monitor public institutions and investigate possible links between the messages.

Police and other investigative teams are examining the email to determine the sender's identity, verify the threats and establish the circumstances behind the references to prominent personalities.

Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
