Diljit Dosanjh’s much-anticipated film Sardaar Ji 3 is creating waves far beyond India’s borders, as it continues its successful theatrical run in Australia. The film has secured a spot in the list of Top 10 highest-grossing films currently running in Australian cinemas, and notably, it’s the only Punjabi-language movie to make the cut.
The achievement marks a significant milestone not just for Dosanjh but for Punjabi cinema as a whole, as Sardaar Ji 3 competes with mainstream international releases in a foreign market and holds its own among global cinematic giants.
While exact box office figures are still coming in, trade analysts confirm that the film is witnessing strong footfall across major Australian cities. Weekend shows have been reported to be houseful in several theatres, underscoring Diljit’s ever-growing fan base abroad.
Sardaar Ji 3 brings back the signature blend of comedy, action, and heartfelt emotion that made the franchise a fan-favourite. Despite the controversy surrounding its release in India, the film’s international response, particularly in Australia, reinforces its popularity and critical acceptance.
