Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh’s horror-comedy Sardaar Ji 3 is unstoppable at the overseas box office, nearing a massive Rs 50 crore in international earnings, despite not releasing in India due to controversy over the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir.
Directed by Amar Hundal, the film added around Rs 9 crore in its second weekend, reflecting a steady 40% drop from its debut weekend, a stronghold by industry standards. Notably, the overseas total excludes Pakistan’s weekend earnings, as cinema halls remained closed due to the Muharram holiday. The film had collected Rs 7 crore in Pakistan during its first week.
Overseas Collections Touch Rs 42.60 Crore in 10 Days
In just 10 days, Sardaar Ji 3 has raked in Rs 42.60 crore (approximately USD 5 million) overseas, making it the highest-grossing Punjabi film of 2025 so far, surpassing Saunkan Saunkanay 2, which had grossed an estimated Rs 35 crore globally since its release on May 30.
The film has seen its biggest success in North America, which alone has contributed around Rs 18.75 crore (USD 2.2 million). Pakistan follows with Rs 7 crore (USD 830K), and the United Kingdom has added approximately Rs 6.25 crore (USD 725K) to the tally.
With these figures, Sardaar Ji 3 now stands as the third highest-grossing Punjabi film in overseas markets, trailing behind Carry On Jatta 3 (Rs 46 crore) and Jatt & Juliet 3 (Rs 57.50 crore). However, with consistent weekday collections and strong word of mouth, the film is well-positioned to overtake them in the coming days.
