It goes back to June 30, 2015, Munish Sahni of Omjee Cineworld announced Neeru Bajwa’s new film, Channo Kamli Yaar Di on his Facebook account. Munish provided vivid details about the movie, including the cast, writer and director. However, he intentionally did not mention a name from the cast, just describing him someone most special. This intrigued speculations that it could be none else than Neeru Bajwa’s husband, Harry Jawanda.

The speculations further strengthened after the trailer of the film was out. (Watch Trailer of Channo Kamli Yaar Di Here) The trailer showed Channo going all way out to find her husband, Jeet in a foreign land and it offered not a glimpse of Jeet. Something which is common with Harry Jawanda. He has always been a mystery man by covering his face one way or the other in all Neeru Bajwa photos.

However, when Punjabi Mania asked the director Pankaj Batra about it, he put all speculations to rest by rejecting them. “It’s not Harry Jawanda, that I can tell for sure. But it is someone else, which I won’t name for now.” said Pankaj Batra while speaking to Punjabi Mania over telephone.

Further when the director was asked if he had played any role in the film, Pankaj replied that he is just the producer of the film and has worked hard for it.
