In the general run of things, doctors perform their operations in a particular hospital. Some of them, who visit as specialists in various hospitals might be performing them at discrete venues. However, noted Punjabi singer turned actor turned on-screen veterinary doctor, Ravinder Grewal, alias Dr. Jelly, a screen name in his upcoming movie, 'Dangar Doctor Jelly', will be operating in more or less all cinema halls near the Punjabi audiences (both in Punjab and overseas) on this Diwali (October 20).
In our review of the trailer, we had already mentioned that by the looks of the trailer, the movie is expected to be an out and out comedy. Only a handful days remain now for the people to rush to the cinema halls to witness this guffaw extravaganza.
Drop-dead gorgeous, Sara Gurpal, who has hitherto taken the Punjabi audience aback by her looks in umpteen Punjabi music videos and 'Manje Bistre' is playing the female lead opposite Grewal in the movie. Apart from this duo, Geet Gambhir, Nisha Bano and Rajeev Thakur will be seen playing vital roles in the movie. Among the others include reliable names such as B.N. Sharma, Karamjit Anmol, Sardar Sohi, Hobby Dhaliwal, Gurmeet Sajan, Santosh Malhotra, Minto, Gurpreet Toti, Sikander and Daljit Sahni.
The movie is the third directorial venture (all including Grewal) of Atharv Baluja. It is produced by Anil Arora and Shivoham Media under the banner of Ohri Productions, with Blue Fox Motion Pictures acting as the co-producer. The story has been written by Baluja, himself. Sikander and Chandan Prabhakar joined hands with him to write the screenplay of the movie. Jatinder Lall has written the dialogues of the movie.

Led by 'Selfie Queen', the songs of the movie have been incorporated by the audiences in their playlists. Among the other songs include title song 'Dangar Doctor Jelly', 'Yes or No' and 'Taweet'.
The Diwali weekend and the less-hyped Hindi movies releasing on the same date in 'Secret Superstar' and 'Golmaal Again' are two motivating factors that should work in the favour of Dangar Doctor Jelly. After watching the response from the audiences during the promotion of the movie, it is expected to release on a positive note. After the word of mouth is spread in the affirmative on a holiday weekend, the collections of the movie might well increase to the likes of its makers.
