Drame Aale Movie Review: A Film That Unites Charda & Lehnda Punjab

For all movie enthusiasts, January is a joyful and entertaining month. Since the third week of the month has begun, filmmakers are releasing three consecutive films to theaters. Drame Aale, starring Sharan Kaur and Harish Verma, has been out recently. You did really read correctly. The film delights fans of Punjabi cinema with lighthearted acting and humor. Starting with the storyline, the movie is true to its title. It’s not just another entertainer, but actually has all theatre artistes as its actors. Even the theme is close to theatre. It blends the nuances of theatre and films beautifully, and the director has come up with something so new with this film. The film not only shows the comedy side but also depicts the beautiful relationship between Charda Punjab and Lehnda Punjab. 

Chander Kamboj and Upinder Randhawa collaborated to create the film Drame Aale, and they performed a fantastic job. This is an emotional journey for two country folks in the theater industry as well as an entertainment and roller coaster trip. Additionally, the movie has every element that adds to its uniqueness. Drame Aale is all about a unique plot that has never been exposed to viewers, beginning with a laugh-filled roller coaster and concluding with an emotional voyage. 

Further, discussing about the actors and their acting, Harish Verma did a stupendous job in the film Drame Aale. We witnessed him in a turban for the first time. He has shown all his talent in this film. Harish Verma as Jevan is a lover boy, talent filled theatre artist and an emotional filled in the film won our hearts. 

Moreover, Sukhwinder Chahal as Babbi Batala brings all the Punjabi and Pakistani actors together in a film who shows their play and gives us the beautiful message. Adding extra oomph to the film Sharan Kaur plays the role of Sultan, a Pakistani girl who lives in London, UK. Her screen sharing with Harish Verma is quite loved by the audience.

Now, not to miss the performance of Rubi Anam, Sardar Kamal, Malik Asif Iqbal, Qaisar Piya, and Honey Albela added cherry on the cake with their artistic view in Drame Aale. The film is not only a story for them but they portrayed the role and put their emotions as it’s a real incident. 

Meanwhile, music also plays a very important role in the film. Be it background score or songs, the director and editor knows when and where to put sound in film Drame Aale. The latest film release has all types of songs, be it peppy, emotional or romantic. You will enjoy every aspect of the film. 

All in all, the film will give you pain in your stomach with the dialogues and one liners but in the meantime you will leave theatres with sob eyes. There are some loopholes in the presentation and technical part but everything is fair when you have this type of different story.
