Three years after Sidhu Moosewala’s tragic death shook the nation, emotions ran high in Mansa today as fans, friends, and family gathered to remember the iconic Punjabi singer. A bhog ceremony was held in his native village, marking the third anniversary of his assassination.

The most poignant moment came when Charan Kaur, Sidhu’s mother, broke down in tears during the prayers. Holding her newborn, affectionately called Junior Sidhu, in her arms, she stood as a symbol of both loss and resilience. The sight deeply moved attendees, many of whom wiped away their own tears.

Sidhu Moosewala, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, was gunned down in May 2022. Despite the years, his lyrics continue to echo across generations, with songs addressing everything from social inequality to youth empowerment.
