Amarjit Singh Saron and Rakesh Dhawan: The director-writer pair are working together for the third time in a Punjabi movie.

Audiences "also" have expectations from director Amarjit Singh Saron and writer Rakesh Dhawan as they team up for the third time ahead of their forthcoming Punjabi movie titled 'Honsla Rakh'. A primary reason why I've highlighted the word also in the previous sentence is because there are many reasons for expectations from this movie which will release in cinema halls on October 15.

For starters, Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh is enough a reason for expectations among his bountiful fans. The fact that Dosanjh is producing a movie for the first time is another reason why people are looking forward to watching it.

Shehnaaz Gill, who has played cameos in three Punjabi films so far, is playing a role of considerable length for the first time. Hence, additional expectations from her fans not just in Punjab but across the whole country.

Last but not the least, Sonam Bajwa has proved her mettle in the Punjabi film industry on multiple occasions that it is no longer surprising that people expect her to be part of good movies now.

Around this starry cast is the director-writer duo of Saron and Dhawan as even they have individually made a name for themselves in the last two years or so. Dhawan, who had written the dialogues of Saron's 'Kala Shah Kala' (2019) and 'Jhalle' (2019)has stepped up the ladder to even write the script of Honsla Rakh.

Having most recently delivered three affluents parts of the 'Chal Mera Putt' franchise, there is no going into a safe house regarding the fact that audiences must be looking up to Dhawan with respect to putting forward yet another brilliant comedy movie.

Coming back to Saron, not only did his first two movies as a director work well commercially and critically, his subsequent projects have further resulted in the blessed presence of top-notch actors in his movies.

While passing the test of time is generally used for larger time durations, it wouldn't be entirely wrong to say that Saron will have to pass the same in a brief capacity to win this mini-battle of helming three successive Punjabi movies as a director.
