The Punjabi entertainment industry is at that stage where the second generations of prominent artists have just entered the showbiz or are highly likely to enter in the near future.
Given how the Punjabi industry has made a name for itself in the last two decades or so in its real sense, the second generation’s arrival in the business is surely a bit late if one compares it with other language industries in the country.
Having said that, the sheer amount of talent which some of these star kids have put on display in the recent times speaks highly about their future when it comes to entertaining people just like their parents did.

Famous Star Kids in the Punjabi Industry who are likely to carry forward family legacy
Sweetaj Brar
Daughter of late singer-turned-actor Raj Brar, Sweetaj Brar had made her singing debut opposite Prabh Gill in single track titled ‘Love You Oye’ (2019). Subsequently, Brar also delivered commendable songs such as ‘Nakhreya Wali’ (2020) and ‘End Combination’ (2020).
In addition to featuring in Ammy Virk’s ‘Khabbi Seat’ earlier this year, Brar had made her Bollywood debut by singing the song ‘Care Ni Karda’ alongside Yo Yo Honey Singh in Hansal Mehta’s ‘Chhalaang’ (2020).
Brar, who is all set to make her acting debut upon the resumption of Punjabi movies’ release, has as many as four movies under her belt namely Simranjit Hundal’s ‘Punjabi……?’, Jimmy Punj’s ‘Golle Di Beggi‘, Tru Makers’ ‘Moosa Jatt‘ and Livtar Singh Sandhu’s ‘Fikar Karo Na’.
Gitaz Bindrakhia
Son of late singer Surjit Bindrakhia, Gitaz Bindrakhia will complete a decade of his debut in the Punjabi music industry next year. Legendary lyricist Shamsher Sandhu, who had formed a well-known partnership with Surjit Bindrakhia, had written Gitaz’s first two songs titled ‘Bindrakhia’ (2012) and ‘Jind Mahi’ (2012).
Apart from making his debut under the label of Point Zero, Gitaz has worked with multiple first-rate Punjabi music labels such as T-Series, Speed Records and Jass Records over the years.
Avkash Mann
Son of singer-turned-actor Harbhajan Mann, Avkash Mann had made his debut as a singer with single track titled ‘Tere Vaaste’ (2019). Avkash, who made his debut under VYRL Originals, went on to work with the same label in ‘Jatt Di Star’ last year.
Additionally, Avkash has also sung a couple of songs titled ‘Aina Sona – The Kali’ and ‘With You – Tere Naal’ under father Harbhajan Mann’s home label of HM Records.
Sarang Sikander
Son of late singer Sardool Sikander, Sarang Sikander both sings and produces music. While Sarang has worked with multiple artists in his brief career till now, he is best known for lending his vocals to song titled ‘Yaar Gawaune’ from the web-series ‘Yaar Jigri Kasuti Degree’.
Hassan Manak
Maternal grandson of late singer Kuldeep Manak, Hassan Manak rose to prominence last year with his debut album titled ‘The Blood’ which was produced under the label of Indi Billing Production. Hassan, who found himself amidst a few controversies soon after his debut, reminds audiences of his legendary grandfather primarily due to his style of singing and body language.
Shinda Grewal
The youngest of all these names, Shinda Grewal is the son of Desi Rockstar Gippy Grewal. Shinda, who is a well-known face across social media platforms, had made his acting debut in the blockbuster movie ‘Ardaas Karaan‘ (2019).
Shinda, who was directed by father Gippy Grewal in his debut movie, will now share the screen with another modern-day superstar in Diljit Dosanjh in the movie ‘Honsla Rakh‘. Having impressed one and all in his debut role as a child actor, Shinda is highly likely to entice eyeballs in his second movie as well.
Armaan Dhillon
Son of late singer Kulwinder Dhillon, Armaan Dhillon is the only one among these aforementioned artists who is yet to make a debut in the showbiz.
