Renowned Punjabi comedian and actor Jaswinder Bhalla, who passed away on August 22, was cremated today with full honours in Mohali.
His mortal remains were first brought from Fortis Hospital, where he breathed his last following a brain stroke at around 4 a.m. on Thursday. The body was later taken to his residence, allowing relatives, friends, and fans to pay their respects before the final rites.
At the crematorium, a large number of admirers gathered to bid a tearful goodbye to the legendary artist. Several figures from the Punjabi film fraternity also attended, recalling his unmatched contribution to Punjabi cinema and theatre.
Jaswinder Bhalla, celebrated for his unique style of comedy and social satire, entertained audiences for over three decades. His passing has left an irreplaceable void in Punjab’s cultural and entertainment world.
