A new incident of gunfire has been reported in Surrey, close to a café associated with comedian Kapil Sharma, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement agencies.
The shooting occurred in the busy 120 Street corridor, an area known for its cluster of cafés and eateries. While the establishment linked to Sharma is located nearby, officials have not confirmed whether it was specifically targeted in the incident.
Police teams quickly secured the site, and investigators have begun analyzing CCTV footage from surrounding businesses to trace those involved. Forensic experts were also deployed to gather on-ground evidence as part of the ongoing probe.
Authorities are additionally examining online activity after reports surfaced of threatening messages circulating on social media. These claims, however, remain unverified, and officials have urged the public to avoid speculation until the investigation yields concrete findings.
The development comes against the backdrop of a similar episode reported last year in the same vicinity, which resulted in property damage but no casualties.
Officials in Canada have stated that the case is being handled with priority, with multiple angles under examination. No statement has been issued so far by Kapil Sharma regarding the incident.
