Galwakdi: Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi's first appearance on the silver screen post pandemic

Galwakdi: The imminent Punjabi movie will welcome back the lead cast on the silver screens post the pandemic.

Imminent Punjabi movie titled 'Galwakdi' will hit the cinema halls on this Friday, i.e., April 8. In what will be director Sharan Art's second movie as a director, it will mark the debut of writer Randeep Chahal.

Galwakdi will also mark the first-time collaboration of lyricist-turned-singer-turned-actor Tarsem Singh Jasaar and actor Wamiqa Gabbi on the silver screens.

While a lot of Punjabi movies have released since the reopening of cinema halls in the COVID-19 pandemic, both Jassar and Gabbi will be appearing in a Punjabi theatrical release for the first time since the pandemic.

Jassar's last appearance in a Punjabi movie was Sharan Art's 'Rabb Da Radio 2' (2020). Gabbi, on the other hand, was last seen in 'Doorbeen' (2019). However, it is worth a mention that Gabbi has featured in a Hindi web-series and Kabir Khan's '83' in this period.

As far as the director Sharan Art is concerned, Galwakdi will be his second movie as a director. Readers must note that the aforementioned trio had worked together in the music video of Jassar's 'Kajla' (2020).
