Gangster Ravi Pujari has been taken into custody in connection with a 2018 extortion case involving Bollywood choreographer Remo D’Souza and his wife Lizelle D’Souza. Extortion Allegations

According to police sources, Pujari allegedly threatened the D’Souzas at the request of Satyendra Tyagi, who had previously been named an accused in the case. Between October 2016 and February 2018, Pujari is said to have repeatedly called and threatened Remo D’Souza, his wife, and their manager. Reports indicate that he pressured them to expedite the release of the film Death of Amar and demanded Rs 50 lakh to “settle” the matter.

Background of the Case

The dispute traces back to 2018, when Remo D’Souza and Satyendra Tyagi had an agreement regarding the film Amar Must Die. The two later clashed over film rights and financial claims, with Tyagi alleging that he had invested in the project and that Remo owed him Rs 5 crore. Tyagi then reportedly sought Pujari’s assistance to recover the money, leading to the extortion threats against the D’Souzas.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are examining further details regarding Pujari’s involvement and potential links to other extortion-related cases.
