Gippy Grewal and Neeru Bajwa-starer 'Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi' to release on July 16

Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi: With a new cast and director, upcoming Punjabi movie will eventually go on floors later this month.

Last seen together on the silver screen in Mandeep Kumar’s ‘Jihne Mera Dil Luteya’ (2011) and currently shooting for Vijay Kumar Arora's 'Paani Ch Madhaani' in England, Punjabi superstars in Gippy Grewal and Neeru Bajwa will also be seen in another Punjabi movie titled 'Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi'.

Bajwa, who had featured in Grewal’s song titled ‘Daang’ at the start of the decade, was also among the 12 celebrities to feature in his single track titled ‘Nach Nach‘ during the COVID-19 lockdown. The A-list duo slated to work together in a couple of movies has it in it to enthrall their bountiful fans around the globe.

Maneesh Chandra Bhatt, who has worked as a DOP in several Hindi movies and played a similar role in Smeep Kang’s ‘Carry On Jatta 2‘ and Simerjit Singh’s ‘Mar Gaye Oye Loko’, has been given the responsibility of directing Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi.

After his upcoming directorial debut titled 'Men in Black - Kale Kachhian Wale', Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi will be Bhatt's second Punjabi movie as a director.

Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi to release on July 16 next year

Much like all other aforementioned Punjabi movies in which Bhatt has worked in the past, Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi will also be made under Grewal's own banner of Humble Motion Pictures. It must be noted that Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi is among the three movies for which Grewal had joined hands with Omjee Star Studios in August.

A face worth looking forward to in Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi will that be of an absolute legend in Annu Kapoor. With a line of work comprising of nearly 100 movies, Kapoor will now be seen working in the Punjabi film industry.

Apart from this trio, the movie will also witness Rana Ranbir and two talented actors from across the border in Naseem Vicky and Ahmad Ali Butt in pivotal roles.

Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi has been penned down by Jagdeep Singh Warring. Having contributed in the writing department of Vijay Kumar Arora's 'Guddiyan Patole' and Santosh Thite and Deepak Thapar's 'Munda Hi Chahida' last year, Warring's forthcoming films include the likes of Sharan Art's 'Galwakdi', Kuran Dhillon and Harjot Singh's 'Shudai' and Dilsher Singh and Khushpal Singh's 'Jaani Chor'.

It is worth mentioning that Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi was initially announced in March 2019 with Binnu Dhillon and Zareen Khan in the lead roles. Originally slated to be directed by Smeep Kang with a release date of June 26 this year, the movie got postponed to July 17.

While its release date was subsequently changed to July 16, 2021, the cast had remained the same in the above mentioned joint-venture announcement including Humble Motion Pictures and Omjee Star Studios. With Grewal and Bajwa already in England, the movie will eventually go on floors on October 25 in London.
