The Punjabi film industry is back on it's two feet after the crippling Covid waves. Every other day a new film announcement drops in creating buzz and excitement amongst the audience who are looking forward a season full of entertainment.

In the Covid times, the concept of OTT platforms flourished in the Punjabi industry. Webseries, digital content and online movies have formed the new industry trend by providing easy and accessible entertainment. Big and celebrated artists are now creating films for online platforms, giving the OTT concept a boosting push. 

The multi talented star of the Punjabi industry- Gippy Grewal is all set for his new film in the capacity of a producer. The title of the film is Zila Sangrur and the movie will be released on the new online entertainment platform- Chaupal. Chaupal is the new streaming entertainment service launched by Pitaara TV which has already become popular amongst audience.

Being produced under the banners of Chaupal Originals and Humble Motion pictures, the film is being directed by Maneesh Bhatt. Along with producing the movie, Gippy Grewal has also written the story and screenplay of the film. Prince KJ Singh has written the dialogues of the movie.

The starcast of the movie is indeed a celebrated one. The film will star Babbal Rai, Aarushi Sharma, Raghveer Boli and Prince KJ Singh in significant roles. The first look poster of the movie is out and suggests that the film will be an intense action drama. The release date of the movie has not been revealed yet. The announcement has created buzz and excitement amongst fans, who are eagerly looking forward to the movie.
