The Punjabi industry always extends a helping hand in the hour of need. The industry has big a heart and the artists have always come together, whenever there was any need in the past. Recently Punjab has faced the major problem of floods due to the heavy rains. Many artists took it to their social media handles to share their grief and to extend helping hands for the flood victims.
The Punjab floods have caused a lot of damage to lives and properties. It has made a large number of people homeless and in very poor conditions. In this hour of need, the shining star of the Punjabi industry- Gippy Grewal has come forward to help the flood victims through the most popular social work organisation- Khalsa Aid.
Gippy Grewal donated a sum of rupees seven lakh to the organisation. Later he donated three lakh rupees more to the same organization to provide the needy with all basic facilities that the victims have lost due to the floods. Gippy contacted the organisation through Ramandeep Sodhi, who is a journalist in Jag Bani. The multi talented artists is doing all that he can to support the people of Punjab and to help them get over the aftermath and trauma of the calamity.
Gippy Grewal shared that he could not provide any physical help due to his prior commitments, but he wishes to help to the best of his capacity to help his fellow citizens by providing this financial aid.
