Being asked about this elongated sabbatical from such roles in a recent interview, Grewal disclosed that he intentionally wanted to put some gap between playing a college student on-screen.

"I believe you should put in some gap between doing movies of similar genre. As an individual, you have to go down the memory lane to attain a suitable look and feel. I enjoyed playing a student in a full entertainer like Ik Sandhu Hunda Si and am sure people will also like it," Grewal was quoted as saying by Punjabi Mania.

The makers had roped in illustrious action director Sham Kaushal for directing the action sequences of Ik Sandhu Hunda Si. Grewal, who has done some action in the past, sounded confident about the action sequences in the movie.

"It [action] wasn't very difficult. I like performing action. We shot action sequences for almost 14-15 days. I really enjoyed it. I think the audiences will enjoy the action scenes," Grewal said.

Grewal, who is widely known for his forte regarding the commerce of movies, highlighted the role of promotion in the build-up to any movies. Despite not producing Ik Sandhu Hunda Si, Grewal laid emphasis on giving his all to make sure that the movie reaches more and more people.

"I completely agree with this [perception regarding him being an outright businessman]. See, you are interviewing me. You won't go home and keep it [the video] with you. You have to show it to people. Right?

"If you are not able to show it to the right amount of amount, there's no benefit of this interview. If my children and family are happy today, it is because they are getting what they want. And my source of income is this [music and film industry].

"I am not producing this movie but promoting it is my job. After all someone has spent the money. Whether the film will work or not is the secondary question, but I will give it my all till February 28. Call it business or dedication, promotion is something which everyone should do and should know how to do," Grewal added.
