Gippy Grewal’s film ‘Daaka’ gets a new release date

The heartthtob of the Punjabi industry- Gippy Grewal has had a packed year. After delivering a blockbuster last week, Gippy is all geared up for his next project. This film will be his first collaboration with Bhushan Kumar. The title of the movie is Daaka.

 

 

Along with becoming a better actor, Gippy has also mastered the art of film story and screenplay writing. The story and the screenplay of Daaka has been written by Gippy Grewal. The film is being directed by the Manje Bistre director, Baljeet Singh Deo. Naresh Kathooria has written the dialogues of the film. Bollywood and Punjabi actress, Zarine Khan will be playing the female lead opposite Gippy in the film. Gippy and Zarine have earlier worked together in the 2014 superhit film Jatt James Bond, and share a great onscreen chemistry.

 

 

The film is being made under the banner of Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with Humble Motion Pictures and is being bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Gippy Grewal and Ravneet Kaur Grewal. This is Gippy Grewal and Bhushan Kumar’s first production collaboration and according to sources, they both shall collaborate for one more project which will be helmed by Smeep Kang.

 

 

Daaka will be a dark and intense action thriller. This genre is not very popular in the Punjabi industry and it would be interesting to see something different, fresh and unique on the silver screen. The film which was earlier slated to release on 13 September this year has now got a new release date. The release of the movie has been postponed and will now release worldwide on 1 November this year. The makers have revealed the look that Gippy has adorned for the film. The fans are eagerly looking forward to the movie.
