The new year has arrived with surprise packages for the Punjabi cinema fans. 2022 is the year for Punjabi cinema as dozens of big films will hit the silver screen in this year. The desi rockstar of the industry- Gippy Grewal is back with a big announcement. The title of the movie is Honeymoon. 

The plot of the upcoming movie will be as interesting as it’s title. The movie will be a romantic comedy and has been written by the ace writer of Punjabi cinema- Naresh Kathooria. The movie is a T-Series Film and Baweja Studios Production and is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri.

The female lead opposite Gippy Grewal will be played by model turned actress Jasmin Bhasin. Jasmin is a popular name in the Hindi television industry and has been a part of many popular Hindi serials. The Bigg Boss fame actress has modelled in many Punjabi songs and will make her Punjabi acting debut with ‘Honeymoon’.

The shooting of the movie started today that is on 11 January 2021 near Chandigarh. A click from the mahurat shot has been shared by the team on social media. The movie is being directed by ‘Happy Go Lucky’ fame director Amarpreet Singh Chhabra.

The lead jodi of the film is new and fresh and has raised the excitement quotient of the fans. Gippy currently has many films on his platter including ‘Phatte Dinde Chakk Punjabi’ starring Neeru Bajwa and ‘Yaar Mera Titlian Warga’ starring another debutant Tanu Grewal. The fans are looking forward to all of Gippy’s projects.
