Punjabi music is witnessing a major international moment after global hip-hop star 21 Savage began following Indian music sensation Karan Aujla on Instagram. The development, spotted on January 10, 2026, has sent fans into a frenzy and sparked fresh conversation across music communities worldwide.
The social media move has gained added significance amid growing chatter that the two artists could be working together. Enthusiasts were quick to speculate, especially since Aujla had earlier teased an upcoming project with a well-known American rapper, leading many to believe that a collaboration may already be in progress.
Their connection appears to go beyond a casual online interaction. Back in February 2025, 21 Savage performed in India for the first time at the Indian Sneaker Festival in Gurugram. During the set, his DJ played Aujla’s popular track “On Top”, drawing a strong reaction from the crowd and catching the attention of fans online.
Additionally, both artists were part of the lineup at Wireless Festival Middle East 2024, sharing the stage with international names such as SZA and Yeat, further indicating overlapping global circles.
With subtle signs continuing to surface, many believe this could signal a breakthrough crossover between Punjabi music and international hip-hop — a collaboration that could redefine boundaries and create waves across the global music scene.
