If you think that these models have featured in Akhtar's songs throughout her career, you are wrong. To the surprise of a lot of followers of the Punjabi music industry, all these models have featured in Akhtar's songs which have released in the year 2020. Yes, you read that right!

Gurlez Akhtar relishing unimpeded singing spree

Irrespective of the debate around the quantity and quality regarding the single tracks and albums, Akhtar appears to be unperturbed about the same for she has already sung an astronomical 23 songs* this year.

Before proceeding further, it is worth mentioning that the 23 is the number of songs whose videos have released on YouTube. There might be some audio songs which have also released in the same period.

23 songs in 73 days (in 2020 so far) calculates to nearly one song every three days. Unheard numbers, these, in 2020. Aren't they?

Coming on the back of more or less 40 songs who got converted into videos last year, Akhtar seems to be relishing this unimpeded singing spree. With singers not daring to let their quantity of songs reach double figures in a year, it speaks highly about Akhtar's line of work since the start of 2019.

Having made a niche with respect to duet songs, Akhtar doing the such whopping amount of work in a male-dominated industry calls for utmost respect. One must also not forget that she sings a lot of songs in Punjabi movies as well.

Since the start of 2020, male singers like Dilpreet Dhillon, Amrit Maan, Karan Aujla, Shivjot, R-Nait, Harf Cheema, Ravinder Grewal and Gagan Kokri are among the many others who have collaborated with Akhtar.

A special mention needs to be made of Dilpreet Dhillon's 'Chandigarh' for the song saw Akhtar featuring in the video opposite the male singer. With Akhtar's amount of work reaching unprecedented heights in the contemporary Punjabi music industry, here is hoping for her to feature in more music videos in the times to come.

* - The number of songs calculated are to the best of the author's ability. Having said that, with songs releasing across bountiful channels on YouTube, one might have missed a song or two (highly unlikely but possible).
