The 'Farmer's Protest' is revolutionary in its essence. It is one of the most important matter of concern in Punjab and Haryana and is being supported by not only the farmers community but all of the North India.
The Punjabi industry has played a pivotal role in supporting this very important 'andolan'. Punjabi artists not only created awareness about the protest on their social media, but have also shown active participation in the farmers protest in Delhi. Singers and Actors reached out and helped in collecting resources for the protest and they also reached out to their fans to win their support for this good cause. Punjabi stars like Jass Bajwa, Ranjit Bawa, Kulwinder Billa, Ammy Virk and many more, have played a significant part in supporting this mutiny. The Punjabi industry has stood strong and united for farmers in this protest.
Recently, the makers and team of the new movie- "Ucha Pind" have made a very big and important announcement in support of the farmer's protest. The lead hero of the movie- Navdeep Kaler recently made this announcement along with Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Gurnam Singh Charuni by means of a video clip.
Charuni has been leading the protest and has been one of the major faces of this agitation. Navdeep Kaler and Charuni, in their video clip mentioned that the makers of Ucha Pind will be giving 5 percent of the movie collection to the families of those farmers who have lost their lives during the protest in Delhi. The makers also have given an amount of rupees one lakh to the farmer who recently lost his life in the Karnal Lathi Charge.
Charuni, in the video clip thanked the team of Ucha Pind on behalf of the protesting farmers and also encouraged the audience to watch the film to boost up its box office collections. The film has been produced by Dimpy Dhillon and Sunny Dhillon under the banners of New Deep Entertainment and 2RR Productions. The movie was released on September 3, 2021 and is getting good reviews from the audience.
