Gurpreet Ghuggi Thanks Fans, Says Cyber Probe Progressing in Social Media Controversy

Punjabi actor and comedian Gurpreet Ghuggi has issued a fresh statement expressing gratitude to his supporters while providing an update on the ongoing cyber investigation linked to a recent social media controversy.

In his message, Ghuggi said he received an overwhelming response after speaking out about misuse of social media platforms. He thanked people for standing by him and showing solidarity during what he described as a challenging phase.

The actor also revealed that several individuals who had earlier circulated memes targeting him have now come forward, acknowledged their actions, and apologised. Ghuggi said these gestures were encouraging and reflected a sense of accountability among users.

Referring to the controversy, he reiterated that certain individuals were deliberately orchestrating the campaign. He noted that a content creator known as “Freshy Canadian,” who had earlier been associated with the issue, later understood the situation and corrected his stance.

Ghuggi further alleged that a company had run a paid campaign amplifying derogatory content against him. He added that assistance from individuals, including those who admitted their mistakes, helped in identifying those allegedly behind the coordinated activity.

According to the actor, the cyber cell is currently investigating the matter, and efforts are underway to trace all those involved. He expressed confidence that the truth would emerge through due process.

Concluding his statement, Ghuggi once again thanked his supporters, saying the unity shown by people against what he termed as “wrong actions” was reassuring and strengthened his resolve to address the issue legally and responsibly.
