Chandigarh: Punjabi model and actress Harman Brar has responded strongly to the online criticism surrounding her relationship with singer-actor Parmish Verma, rejecting allegations that she was involved in an affair and pushing back against the label of “homewrecker” that has been circulating on social media.
Speculation about the two intensified during July and August 2026, particularly after their appearance together in connection with the song Dekhi Ja. Photos and videos of the pair subsequently surfaced online, fuelling discussions about the nature of their relationship.
The speculation gained further momentum in late August when Parmish shared a romantic picture with Harman on social media and wished her “Happy Birthday, Love.” The post attracted widespread reactions, including criticism and trolling directed at Harman.
‘Calling Me a Homewrecker Does Not Make It True’
Breaking her silence, Harman took to Instagram to challenge what she described as personal attacks disguised as moral criticism.
She rejected the “homewrecker” tag and argued that online users had turned her into a convenient target based on a narrative they had created themselves.
Harman also condemned the body-shaming and character attacks directed at her, saying that cruelty does not become acceptable simply because it is presented as a form of morality.
The actress maintained that she has no reason to hide her relationship and said she is proud of both herself and the man she chose.
Harman Says Relationship Was Never Secret
Addressing one of the key issues surrounding the controversy, Harman claimed that her relationship with Parmish was never conducted secretly.
She stated that the relationship had been lived openly and that both of them had acknowledged it publicly. Harman further said Parmish was already legally separated before their relationship and argued that he, like anyone else, has the right to move forward with his life.
She also pointed out that his former partner has the same right to move on.

Without naming particular pages, she cautioned troll accounts and meme creators to be prepared for possible legal consequences.
She ended her message by making it clear that her decision not to respond earlier should not be interpreted as a lack of awareness of what was being said about her.
