Kuldeep Khurana, father of Punjabi actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Himanshi Khurana, has been arrested and sent to 14 days of judicial custody for allegedly assaulting and verbally abusing a Naib Tehsildar during election duty in Goraya five months ago.
The arrest follows a complaint by Naib Tehsildar Jagpal Singh, who accused Khurana of obstructing his official work and physically attacking him. A video of the incident, recorded by a staff member, served as critical evidence in the case.
After months of evading arrest, Khurana was apprehended at his Ludhiana residence. He was presented in Phillaur court, which ordered his custody at Kapurthala Jail. Police officials confirmed that the charges involve interfering with official duties and assaulting a government servant. Investigations are underway to gather further details.
