London-based Model Poppy Jabbal makes her debut in this week’s Punjabi release, Mahi NRI opposite Harrdy Sandhu. Punjabi Mania caught up with Poppy for a little chit-chat about her forthcoming film and some other stuff.
If you don’t dream; you cannot achieve anything, thinks Poppy Jabbal on making her debut as an actress after working as a model and anchor for some time in Mumbai.
Mumbai based model and also an actress, Poppy completed her education from London, the capital city of England. Born in a family of parents who were an Engineer & a Principle, Poppy’s interests were totally opposite. She was into fashion from a very early age and even has a Masters Degree in Fashion from London.
On asked how she felt working with Harrdy Sandhu for Mahi NRI releasing on February 10, Poppy said that she did not know Harrdy closely before going to shoot for the film in London although they had met once during a CCL (Celebrity Cricket League) game. Harrdy plays for Punjab De Sher in CCL. Remembering a memorable incident from the sets, Poppy revealed that on the 2nd day of filming she had to shoot the climax scene of the movie and she was under a lot of pressure, but things went well and she managed to pull it off.
She’s really happy that her debut movie is all set to release in Cinemas and she had a great time working with all the artists. “Shooting with B.N Sharma sir and Ravneet ma’am was a great experience as I got to learn so many new things in terms of acting as well as they shared their experiences with me”says Poppy.
Talking about her interests and pastimes, Poppy says that she has always been passionate about Drawing, Painting and Dance. And this has been a passion for her since her school days.
She has done 75 ad films and hosted a lot of shows. She’s a die hard fan of Sunny Deol and is her Idol as he’s really flexible during acting and he knows his job well. She even ended up proposing him in one of the event in front of the live cameras. According to her, you really need to be focused in your life and be sure about what you want to do in life and shouldn’t stop dreaming because if you don’t dream, you cannot achieve anything.
