Superstar Gippy Grewal’s first movie of the year 2020 is all set to hit the silver screens tomorrow, i.e., February 28. If the ballyhoo regarding the movie gets converted into performance, ‘Ik Sandhu Hunda Si‘ should successfully transform into an outright power-packed commercial entertainer.
The trailer of the movie had released four weeks ago on the official YouTube channel of Humble Music. At the time of writing this article, it has received in excess of six million views on the same platform.
Grewal, who will be playing protagonist Sandhu in the movie, will be accompanied by titular characters performed by Roshan Prince, Pavan Malhotra, Vikramjeet Virk, Babbal Rai, Dheeraj Kumar, Raghveer Boli, Jasprem Dhillon, Anmol Kwatra and others.
Bollywood actress Neha Sharma, who was last seen in Om Raut’s ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’, will make her debut in the Punjabi film industry as Grewal’s love interest in Ik Sandhu Hunda Si.

Jass Grewal, who has written numerous successful Punjabi movies, has also written the script and screenplay of Ik Sandhu Hunda Si which has been directed by Rakesh Mehta.

It is evident from the trailer of the movie that it will revolve around friendship, romance and student politics. How Jass Grewal’s story and Mehta’s direction justify these three elements will only be known after watching the movie in cinema halls tomorrow.

Ik Sandhu Hunda Si has been produced by Bally Singh Kakkar under the banner of Golden Bridge Films & Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The movie has been distributed worldwide by Omjee Star Studios.
With Hitesh Kewaliya’s ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ slowing down on the week days and no other Hindi movie barring Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Thappad’ releasing tomorrow, there will be limited competition at the box-office for Ik Sandhu Hunda Si. No Punjabi movie releasing last week will also work in the favour of the multi-starer movie as the Punjabi audiences will get a contrasting subject post the release of ‘Sufna‘ on February 14.
