'India’s Got Latent' Case: The Maharashtra Cyber Cell, which is investigating the India’s Got Latent controversy, has sent a second summons to comedian Samay Raina, asking him to appear before the investigating officer on February 17.
However, Raina’s lawyer has informed officials that he is currently in the United States and will return only on March 17. His absence raises questions about the next steps in the case, as authorities continue their probe into the controversial remarks made during the show.
The controversy erupted after a below-the-belt comment by Ranveer Allahbadia, which sparked legal complaints and public backlash. Raina, as the show's host, has come under scrutiny, with demands for accountability from various quarters.
With his return a month away, the Cyber Cell will now have to decide whether to take further legal action or wait for his arrival to continue questioning. Meanwhile, the incident has fueled a heated discussion about freedom of expression vs. responsible content creation in the digital space.
