Punjabi filmmakers are getting more inclined towards content driven cinema. Punjabi film industry is witnessing more experimentation in terms of selection of themes and storylines. The concepts which were earlier not very popular in the industry are gaining popularity. Movies with substance have a charm and energy of their own and manage to attract the audience with their good concept and the quality of their content. There is a long list of films that have been released this year and the next big film in this list is the much awaited Punjabi movie Daaka.

Daaka is a film that is basically driven by the multi talented artist of the Punjabi film industry Gippy Grewal. Gippy has taken several roles for this film. The star of the Punjabi industry is producing the film and has also written the story and the screen play of the movie. Other than that, Gippy will also be playing the main lead in the film along with the popular Bollywood actress and his Jatt James Bond costar Zareen Khan. 

The dark and intense action thriller- Daaka is one of the most awaited and speculated films of the year. The official teaser and the trailer of the film have been released by the makers and they have definitely managed to intrigue the audience. The film is of a different and a fresh genre, as very few action thrillers are made in the Punjabi film industry which is flooded with period dramas, romantic comedies and family dramas.

Apart from the lead pair, Daaka also stars celebrated actors including Rana Ranbir, Mukul Dev, Hobby Dhaliwal, Baninder Bunny, Shavinder Mahal and others. The movie has been directed by the Manje Bistre director Baljeet Singh Deo. Baljeet Singh Deo has worked with Gippy in about a dozen films, and as a director Daaka is his fourth film with Gippy Grewal.

The film is being made under the banner of Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with Humble Motion Pictures and is being bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Gippy Grewal and Ravneet Kaur Grewal. This is Gippy Grewal and Bhushan Kumar’s first production collaboration and according to sources, they both shall collaborate for one more project which will be helmed by Smeep Kang.

The trailer of the film is unique, interesting and different loaded with larger than life action. Gippy Grewal has adorned a different and interesting look for the film and the fans are excitedly looking forward to the release of the film. The movie is all set to hit the screens on 1 November 2019 and the team is all geared up for the release of the film.
