After working for 3 decades in Hindi Cinema and acting in over 150 films in various languages, Jackie Shroff is making an entry into Punjabi Cinema.

The official poster of Gippy Grewal’s upcoming movie Lucky Di Unlucky Story released this Thursday evening surprised many. The poster potrayed Shroff pointing out a rifle at Gippy Grewal. “Jackie ji recently wrapped up a part of the shooting at SAS Nagar,” told Gippy. Production House was looking for a well-known face to play a don, and who could fit the bill better than Jackie?, he added.

Moreover Pushpinder Happy from the production said, “Jackie ji was already interested in our cinema. Having acted in almost every region’s cinema, be it Tamil, Telugu, Malyalam, Bengali, Kannada or Marathi, Jackie ji was sure he could not miss out on the Punjabi experience.”

When asked about language hassles for Jackie, Happy answered, “Jackie ji is a seasoned actor, so the language came as no deterrent. In fact, we have not even had a second take for any of his scenes so far. He plays a stylish don who is sure to woo the audiences.”

Lucky Di Unlucky Story is expected to release next year.
