After garnering immense love with his acting performances, Jagjeet Sandhu is now all set to wear the director’s hat. Last week only, Punjabi Mania had shared the news of Sandhu’s debut production project ‘Bhole Oye’. Just few days after announcing his debut as a producer, Sandhu has announced his debut directorial venture.

Jagjeet Sandhu is stepping into the alley of direction with a short film titled River Island. Sandhu has written and directed this upcoming short film. In this era of digitalised entertainment, short movies have gained immense popularity in all entertainment industries including the Punjabi industry. This new short film will be great start for Sandhu to enter the field of mainstream direction.

The upcoming short movie has been produced by Jagjeet Sandhu and has been made under the banner of Popkon Pictures. Along with direction, Jagjeet Sandhu has also played the lead in River Island. Other than Sandhu, the film also stars Pardeep Cheema and Pooja Brrambat. Rupinder Rupi is the dop for this project.

The poster of the movie is out and features Sandhu on it. Just like the title of the film, the poster of the movie is also very unique and carries a pioneering look. The film will release on YouTube on October 2 this year, on the official YouTube channel of Popkon Pictures. The team of the film is excitedly looking forward to a great response from the audience.
