Jatt & Juliet anniversary: The blockbuster Punjabi movie was released on this day in 2012.

Not part of the movie, there was a dialogue especially recorded for the trailer of blockbuster Punjabi movie titled 'Jatt & Juliet' in which superstar Diljit Dosanjh had mentioned the release date of the movie, i.e., June 29.

While Dosanjh had talked about June 29, 2012, it is to bring to your notice that another June 29 (today) has resulted in the movie completing 10 years.

Second collaboration of Dosanjh and ace actor Neeru Bajwa, Jatt & Juliet paved way for not only their numerous other successful Punjabi movies but also provided opportunities to many other artists at a time when the Punjabi film industry was just a budding industry.

Dangar and Doomna, as Dosanjh and Bajwa were fondly called in the movie respectively, had worked together to form a memorable story which is remembered by their fans till date.

Been played across platforms in the last decade, Jatt & Juliet has never managed to let down a fan. One of the firsts among super successful movie of the contemporary Punjabi industry, Jatt & Juliet continues to find a special place in the hearts of the Punjabi audiences across the globe.

In addition to the lead pair, Jatt & Juliet had also thrived due to chemistry between separated couple-turned-business-rivals Jaswinder Bhalla and Upasana Singh and father-son duo of BN Sharma and Rana Ranbir. Needless to say, some of the dialogues of the movie not only continue to entertain fans but are also used by them quite commonly in real lives.

Also among the first Punjabi movies to get a sequel, Jatt & Juliet was written and directed by Dheeraj Rattan and Anurag Singh respectively. It isn't surprising as to why both these artists are among the most popular in their respective fields even today.
