The teaser launch of Ishqnama turned into an engaging discussion when actor Jayy Randhawa was asked whether the upcoming film was simply another India-Pakistan love story. Rather than offering a conventional response, the actor explained that the film explores emotions and human connections that transcend geographical boundaries.
Sharing his perspective, Jayy said that reducing the story to a cross-border romance would overlook its deeper message. According to him, Ishqnama focuses on relationships, compassion, and shared human experiences, making it relevant to audiences regardless of nationality.
The interaction became even more noteworthy when the conversation shifted to the film's release strategy. Responding to a question about whether the movie would be screened in Pakistan, Jayy expressed confidence that the film is meant for viewers on both sides of the border and confirmed that it is planned for release there as well.
His remarks reflected the makers' belief that cinema has the ability to connect people beyond political and geographical divides, with stories that resonate universally.
Featuring Jayy Randhawa alongside Shehnaaz Gill in the lead roles, Ishqnama has already generated curiosity with its teaser and is expected to present a fresh take on love and relationships. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on July 24, 2026.
With anticipation steadily building, audiences are eager to see whether Ishqnama delivers the emotionally rich narrative that its lead actor promises.
