Simi Chahal, who is on a roll in Punjabi Cinema has just bagged her 4th film even before her 1st film Bambukat has completed a year of release. This time, she has signed Rabb Da Radio director Tarnvir Singh Jagpal’s Daana Paani opposite Jimmy Sheirgill. The film will go on floors later in the year and is slated for release on May 4, 2018.

Shri Narotam Ji Films who earlier produced Sargi and Hero Naam Yaad Rakhi will produce this film. Alongside them, Nanokey Studios also join in as producers. Jimmy and Simi are a fresh pair for Punjabi Cinema fans who off late have been demanding some freshness to be brought into Punjabi Cinema.

Also Jimmy Sheirgill, desperately needs a Hit Punjabi Film under his belt. Most of his previous releases have been on the losing side with films like Vaisakhi List, Hero Naam Yaad Rakhi being duds at the Box Office and Shareek and Jindua barely recovering their costs. On the other hand, Simi Chahal has had 3 released and 2 have been Super Hits out of 3 in Bambukat and Rabb Da Radio. Moreover, Simi was even appreciated for her role in all her films.
