Kala Shah Kala likely to bust complexion myths: The upcoming Punjabi movie is all in likeliness of delivering a pressing social message to the audiences.
It is 2019. Given all the advancements which have taken over the world, a lot of us are still live in ancient times when it comes to thoughts and beliefs. There are many people who let the figment of their imagination get the better of themselves. As a result, end up giving free reign to differences on various fronts, complexion being one of them.
Forthcoming Punjabi movie named ‘Kala Shah Kala’ has given plausible signs of busting these myths. While the detailed characteristics will only be publicly known after watching the movie in cinema halls on February 14, the trailer puts in front of us a significant inkling about what is in store for us.
Starring a novel lead pair of Binnu Dhillon and Sargun Mehta, Kala Shah Kala also stars singer-turned-actor Jordan Sandhu who will complete the love triangle in the movie. Not underestimating the love story by any means, but there is something in the trailer which convinces one of expecting much more than just a love story.

Talking of Dhillon, kudos to him for agreeing to play such a role. Playing the lead hero in the movie, it must have been the actor in him which would have wanted to try something unique for the audiences. Despite not an iota being wrong in playing a role of darker complexion, not many leading actors would have agreed to do the same.
Kala Shah Kala is being prophesied to highlight the subject of human beings building differences made on the basis of color. Given how the same has had and can continue to have severe ramifications, here is hoping for Kala Shah Kala to describe the correct state of affairs to the audiences.
Other than the trailer of the movie, the makers have also released one of its songs. Sung by Ranjit Bawa, Jaggi Singh and Charanjit Channi, the song ‘Viah Te Peepniyan’ has it in it to be played in marriages across the state. Penned down by Jogi Raikoti and musically directed by Jaggi Singh, the song witnesses Dhillon, Karamjit Anmol and Harby Sangha dancing on the occasion of the former’s marriage.
