Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has voiced strong support for Operation Sindoor, India’s targeted military response to the deadly April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives. As the Indian Armed Forces struck nine terror bases across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the early hours of May 7, celebrities across the country took to social media to express solidarity with the government and the armed forces.
Kangana, known for her vocal stance on national issues, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a series of Instagram Stories. Sharing visuals of the precision strikes, she captioned one post with, “Unhone kaha tha Modi ko bata dena. Aur Modi ne inko bata diya,” referencing a viral terrorist threat that invoked PM Modi by name.
In a subsequent story, she added, “Jo hamari raksha karte hain, Ishwar unki raksha kare. Wishing our forces safety and success.”
India launched Operation Sindoor targeting nine specific sites linked to terrorist activity—four within undisputed Pakistani territory and five in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The strikes were carried out with high-precision munitions and coordinated support from the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
In an official statement, the Ministry of Defence emphasized that the operation was “focused, measured, and non-escalatory,” targeting only terror infrastructure and avoiding Pakistani military facilities. “India has demonstrated considerable restraint in the selection of targets and the method of execution,” the statement noted.
Sources suggest that this operation is part of a broader, phased response, with further actions contingent on Pakistan’s reaction. However, tensions have already escalated, with Pakistan reportedly retaliating through cross-border artillery shelling, resulting in the deaths of three civilians in Indian villages along the Line of Control.
The Pahalgam attack was claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy of Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. Victims of the attack were mostly tourists, allegedly targeted based on their religion.
As national sentiment intensifies, Kangana’s public endorsement of the military action has drawn both admiration and sparked debate online, especially as calls grow for accountability and justice in response to terrorism.
