Global music icon Kanye West is officially heading to India, with his long-awaited debut concert now locked in for May 23, 2026. The announcement comes after an earlier postponement, sparking renewed excitement among fans eager to witness the artist perform live for the first time in the country.
The show will take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, with the performance scheduled to begin at 8 PM. The rapper, who now goes by Ye, confirmed the update through social media, describing it as his only appearance in India.
Originally planned for late March, the concert had to be rescheduled due to rising geopolitical tensions linked to the US-Iran situation at the time. Organisers later clarified that shifting the date was necessary to ensure smooth execution and safety for all involved.
Despite the delay, anticipation has only grown. Industry insiders suggest the event is being designed as a large-scale production, promising immersive visuals, powerful sound design, and a setlist that spans Ye’s extensive musical career—from his early groundbreaking tracks to more recent releases.
However, the India concert comes at a time when the artist is facing challenges in other parts of the world. Reports indicate that planned performances in parts of Europe, including Poland and Switzerland, have been called off amid ongoing controversies surrounding his past remarks.
Back in India, preparations are in full swing. Promoters have hinted that the Delhi show aims to set a new benchmark for live music events in the country, positioning it as a one-night-only spectacle.
Tickets for the concert are currently available through the District by Zomato app. Prices range between Rs 7,500 and Rs 30,000, with multiple categories such as Gold, Platinum, Super Fan Zone, and premium lounge seating options catering to different audiences.
With just one performance scheduled, demand is expected to be high, making this a landmark moment for India’s live entertainment scene.
