Punjabi actor and comedian Karamjit Anmol has shared an emotional note in memory of veteran actor Jaswinder Bhalla, whose Antim Ardaas (final prayer) is being held today.
In a deeply moving message, Anmol described Bhalla as someone whose presence could light up every gathering and whose absence has left a void that cannot be filled. “There are rare people in this world—when they arrive, they make everyone laugh, and when they leave, they leave everyone in tears. Bhalla Bhai Ji was one of them,” he wrote.
Anmol recalled several personal memories with the late actor, including the day they both tied turbans in Bhalla’s signature style—an image that has remained etched in his heart. He said Bhalla was not only a gifted entertainer but also a truly noble human being.
Expressing disbelief at his passing, Anmol added, “Even today, it is hard to accept that you will not return. You were far greater as a person than even the legendary artist the world knew. Lives like yours should never be cut so short.”
The actor concluded his tribute with prayers for Bhalla’s soul and strength for his grieving family. “May the Almighty bless such a pure soul with a place at His feet, and give courage to your loved ones to bear this immense loss,” he said.
Jaswinder Bhalla, known for his unmatched contribution to Punjabi cinema and theatre, continues to live on in the hearts of fans and colleagues alike.
