Punjabi singer Karan Aujla has withdrawn from two upcoming performances in Ludhiana and Lucknow, triggering disappointment among fans and adding uncertainty to his ongoing “P-Pop Culture India Tour.”
The concerts, originally planned for April 10 and April 12, have been scrapped, with ticketing partner District attributing the move to operational challenges. Customers who had purchased tickets have been assured full refunds within the next few days.
While Aujla has not issued an official explanation, reports suggest that the Lucknow event faced multiple complications, including difficulties securing a suitable venue, licensing issues and concerns over recovering costs due to high ticket pricing.
The cancellations follow criticism of the artist’s recent Mumbai concert, where attendees flagged overcrowding, intense heat and instances of fans feeling unwell during the event. In response, the singer has scheduled a revised performance, dubbed “Mumbai 2.0,” on April 12 in an attempt to address the issues raised.
Despite the setback, the tour is set to proceed, with Jaipur hosting the next concert on April 5. Organisers have indicated that efforts may be made to reschedule the cancelled shows at a later stage.
The abrupt changes have left fans in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh disappointed, though many are hopeful the performances will be reinstated in the future.
